My version of the Chick-Fil-A Chicken-Q sandwich

Looks yummy doesn’t it?  Let me tell you – it was great!  The hubs went back twice for more.  And it was so easy to make, I’m not sure why I didn’t think about trying it till now.  I’ve made BBQ Chicken a zillion times.  Just never gave any thought to shredding the chicken and putting it on a bun.  I certainly will now!  🙂

3 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 bottle Kraft Honey BBQ Sauce

1 package hamburger buns

Dill pickle chips (hamburger chips)

In a dutch oven, cover chicken breasts with enough water to float the breasts.  Bring to a boil and cook until they are done all the way through.

When the breasts are done, remove from the pan and place on a paper plate to cool.  When they are cool, using two forks, shred the chicken.

Put the shredded chicken in an oven safe pan with a lid, and pour in the entire bottle of BBQ sauce.  Mix well.

Put the lid on the pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.  (Don’t remove the lid while it’s cooking)

When it’s done, scoop chicken mixture onto one half of a hamburger bun.  Put dill pickles on the other half.  Combine the two, and you’re ready to eat.  We had ours with some potato salad and it was a perfect easy weekend meal!
